About Us

Alan Hynes grew up in Ireland, the youngest of ten children. He first came to the United States as a teenager and worked in the construction industry for his brothers during summer times while still attending college. After graduating with his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with honors from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, he immigrated to the United States.

Even though Alan does not have a license to practice Civil Engineering in California, the education he received in structural design, geotechnical engineering, surveying and project management is very advantageous to his daily work. He can also help in the process of value engineering your project if that is an issue.

Alan Hynes Construction has been issued the following contractor licenses from the state of California:

• Class A: General engineering contractor’s license
• Class B: General building contractor’s license
• Class C-8: Concrete contractor’s license
